FRENCHS FOREST REDESIGN

Our goal was to open up the living, dining, laundry and kitchen rooms to create an open living space for the family to enjoy together. Through redesigning this space, the single door entry to the backyard featuring a pool and outdoor dining area was replaced with a wide sliding glass door offering both an abundance of light and easy access to the outdoors. Non bearing walls were removed, the kitchen redesigned and relocated and with the living and dining rooms, it became one open space. A clever redesign of the laundry added storage behind cabinetry, beechwood floating floorboards lightened the space and a contemporary kitchen design featured crisp white cabinetry, white speckled stone top and turquoise glass tiles as a feature splashback. Shades of blue and green were used as feature colours against the fresh whites and neutral flooring to create a modern coastal feel.
